The journey to Burgundy is very easy. In France motorway driving is a much more pleasant experience than the U.K. and much longer distances can be covered in a relatively short time.
From Calais, it is suggested to travel via autoroute A26 which starts in the port of Calais. You should travel via Reims, then the A4 for a short section before joining the A26 again for Troyes and on to Burgundy.
Then you can plan your individual route to your hotel. As a guide the journey time from Calais to Dijon will take approximately five hours.
From Le Havre, you follow the signs for Paris joining the A131. This will then join the A13 that will take you directly to the French capital. Your autoroute will join the 'Périphérique' in Paris and you take the signs for Sud (South) and 'Lyon'. You leave the Périphérique following the signs A6 for Lyon.
Burgundy is around 60 miles south of the city so, you can begin to plan your own itinerary depending on which hotel you have reserved.

From Zeebrugge, you should head for Lille (the signs in Belgium will be for RIJSEL which is the Flemish for Lille). At Lille, follow signs for Paris (A1) and this autoroute has a junction with the A26 that will take you directly to Burgundy (see intructions from Calais).
